High Park back garden design

My wonderful clients in High Park wanted to give their backyard a full refresh. They have a large bed aligning the south side of their garden that was overgrown and without direction, so asked me to create a planting plan for them to provide a cohesive experience.

We have decided to focus on shades of green and textures to add a Japanese feel to their large backyard, where they can sit on the patio and enjoy the tranquil view. This includes new multi-stem trees, ornamental moss stones, and low-growing shrubs that will do well in partial sun and shade throughout the day.

As we are removing their current overgrown tall shrubs, we are also introducing new, 8' wide trellises for vines to climb to replace the privacy aspect that they currently have, and modernize the backdrop of this large garden bed.
